With four Southeastern Conference (SEC) titles and six National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) overall national championships at Auburn, 26-year head equestrian coach Greg Williams is the dean of the Tiger coaching staff. He put the equestrian program on the map with its first title in 2006, and has taken home five championships in the past 10 years. The Paragould, Arkansas, native and 1986 Auburn Animal Sciences graduate orchestrated the building of the Auburn University Equestrian Center after the university’s club program debuted in 1996, and also later helped the club program through the transition to become Auburn’s 21st varsity sport. Since the 2002-03 season, the Tigers have totaled six national titles, five Hunt Seat national titles, one Western national title, four SEC titles and three Southern Equestrian championships. His student-athletes have combined for 90 All-America accolades since the 2010-11 season and have totaled 101 All-SEC and Freshman All-SEC selections. Williams has also been twice been named both the NCEA and SEC Coach of the Year.
